These channels have been affected by a recent auction by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and have been forced to broadcast on a different frequency.
Why did this happen?
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has recently held an auction to provide more communication channels for wireless broadband services. As a result, nearly 1,000 TV stations will be forced to either go off air or change their frequencies.
The following official websites have information on stations that may be migrating to another frequency:http://tvanswers.org/offAir.asphttp://tvanswers.org/what.asphttps://www.fcc.gov/consumers/guides/consumer-faqs-tv-spectrum-auctionWill any of my other channels be affected? If so, when?
This transition is taking place between Fall 2018 and Spring 2020. Please visit this link for more info on when each channel will be switching:http://tvanswers.org/when.aspWhat do I need to do?
If the station has changed to a different frequency, all you need to do is re-run the channel scan on your TV. The station will then come in on the same channel number as before. Please see our Tips & Tricks page for more:http://tvanswers.org/rescan.asphttps://www.oneforall.com/tips-and-tricks-usa
