Important: We have become aware that some of our customers have encountered an issue with the Smart Control 8 (URC 7880) where the companion OFA Setup App is reporting an error when trying to connect to the remote. The error shows a screen where the MAC address of the remote is not recognized and the remote is therefore not authenticated. 

This is due to a technical oversight and we are working hard to fix this. Please rest assured that this is our top priority and the issue should be resolved within 2 to 3 days at the most.
